Casey Grammar Common is a celebration of teenage play. A shared sheltered courtyard in the heart of the school that forms a critical role for children to meet, mingle, catch up and hang out during breaks in school. Two iconic and vibrant red steel shelters snake through the space to define both the central lawn social space and outside locker area. This simple gesture allows the space to work as both an important functioning storage zone for the children whilst the back of the feature concrete walls that house these lockers act as the backrest for a series of different timber lounges clustered to promote social connection in a central playful lawn area.
