Mills Park Skate Plaza has been designed to be Perth’s first dedicated street plaza, focusing on flow, long runs and wide range of traditional and unique obstacles. This has been designed in response to onsite consultation earlier this year at the existing park, as well as in response to the broader context of skate parks within the City of Gosnells.

With the inclusion of an 4 ft integrated mini ramp with terraced connections and gaps, a user can flow through the park, across the banks, drops, gaps, ledges, stairs, rails and transitions. The space operates both as a series of large runs across the whole park, as well as smaller individual elements which can be sessioned independently. With construction now complete it is now great that the Perth locals have a new cost effective and unique skate space to enjoy.

According to Skateboarding WA “Mills Park with in the City of Gosnells is now home to a skateboarding plaza that is easily the best designed one in Western Australia. The layout is really open with loads of flat ground with well thought out obstacles really spaced out the way they should be….On top of an amazing street design, Mills Park has possibly the longest Mini ramp in WA…Great work by everyone involved!” March 2nd 2016.
