MCG Fatso Wombat Sculpture
A very fun and unusual project that Playce assisted MCC with. Our brief was to recreate the iconic Fatso the wombat for one of the main galleries. We therefore researched what Fatso actually looked like including liaising with Roy and HG’s management and were able to create an initial prototype that then was scaled up and manufactured by the amazing Gabe Freeman from Animatica into a climbable sculptural seat that now sits in the gallery as a popular and fun addition, particularly loved by children.
