Reservoir Skatepark

This very exciting found object skatepark is all about engaging with the local youth and skate community. Rather than considering a large in-situ and expensive concrete skate facility, Playce and Council have worked closely with a range of local skaters on designing and sourcing recycled street obstacles for placement in an existing basketball court. There was significant ownership by the local skate users who have been involved in the siting and layout of the park since its inception. They see how much value there is in using recycled and found objects in their park, both from a functional point of view and to minimise high construction costs.
